Engineering Manager - Cloud Platform & Operations (f/m/d)

As an Engineering Manager for our Cloud Platforms, you will lead a team of Cloud and Site Reliability Engineers to deliver a resilient, scalable production platform for SonarQube Cloud and Server. You will shape the platform roadmap, drive reliability and performance, and partner with cross-functional squads to meet developer needs. This role offers high-impact work on mission-critical infrastructure that accelerates product delivery for millions of users. You will model servant leadership, foster a blameless culture, and own delivery at scale.

• Lead and mentor Cloud and SRE engineers to grow autonomy and manage cloud complexities
• Ensure high engineering standards focusing on reliability, performance, and security
• Oversee operational workload, on-call, incident response, and automation to reduce toil
• Promote blameless post-mortems and share architectural insights
• Coordinate with value stream squads to align production platforms with developers’ needs and governance
• Communicate a clear squad vision aligned with platform roadmap emphasizing resiliency and cost optimization
• Collaborate with Hiring to recruit engineers and improve the hiring process
• Lead by example with servant leadership and high-stakes decision-making

• 8+ years in software engineering with a focus on SRE, Cloud Operations, or Infrastructure Engineering
• Operational mindset with experience managing mission-critical shared services (e.g., Aurora DBs, OpenSearch, Control Planes)
• Advanced knowledge of AWS or similar cloud providers and managing large-scale infrastructure (IAM, OUs, Account Vending)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Python, CDK, Terraform) and rigorous code reviews for infra components
• Observability and resiliency expertise with logging, tracing, metrics, and DR/BCP strategies
• Agile experience and understanding of cloud cost optimization (Rightsizing, Spot, Reserved Instances)
