Expert Cost Controlling (m/w/d)

In this role you drive cost transparency and enable informed decisions by delivering analyses for project profitability, cash flow, and KPI monitoring. You will integrate with project teams, optimize controlling tools, and support management reports and budgets. The position sits in a cross-functional setting with a focus on improving ERP data quality and cost performance. You will contribute to shaping controlling methods and reporting in a international engineering context.

• Lead monthly project reviews with operations teams to monitor profitability, cash flow, and liquidity
• Support project cost calculations and perform financial analyses
• Report on cost absorption variances and analyze primary operational drivers
• Manage production controlling activities and track KPIs with improving tools
• Contribute to development and optimization of controlling methods, tools, and reporting structures
• Assist in maintenance and improvement of master data quality within the ERP system
• Support preparation of management reports, budgets, forecasts, ad hoc analyses, business cases, variance analyses, and annual financial statements

• Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance or comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in controlling, preferably in mechanical/plant engineering and international environment
• Strong expertise in operations and project controlling; project cost calculation experience is a plus
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (e.g., MS Navision or SAP S/4HANA)
• Strong communication, analytical, and self-reliant working style
• High ownership, proactive attitude, fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
