Full-Stack Software Developer

Fairmas is a Berlin‑based hotel software company that provides web‑based financial planning and reporting solutions to over 18,000 users in more than 5,500 hotels worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Leverage AI‑powered development tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining code quality, security, testing, maintainability, and system architecture.
• Design, build, and maintain modern web applications across frontend and backend systems.
• Develop user‑facing applications using React, TypeScript, and component‑based architectures.
• Build and evolve backend services and APIs using .NET/C# within a distributed systems landscape.
• Work with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL and clustering technologies such as Patroni.
• Contribute to scalable, resilient, highly available systems and infrastructure setups.
• Analyze, debug, review, and improve existing and AI‑generated code to ensure reliability, maintainability, and performance.
• Take end‑to‑end responsibility for delivering solutions, proactively identifying issues, asking effective questions, and driving work forward independently.
• Apply clean code principles, automated testing practices, version control with Git, and modern software development workflows.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand user needs and translate them into valuable product capabilities.
• Participate in architectural and technical discussions while sharing knowledge to support a high‑performing engineering team.
• Contribute to ongoing learning, experimentation, and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Practical software development experience beyond coursework, through internships, work‑student positions, freelance work, open‑source contributions, research, or personal projects.
• Comfortable taking responsibility for code and features.
• Effective practitioner of AI‑assisted development, balancing rapid iteration with disciplined engineering decision‑making.
• Hands‑on experience with React, TypeScript, .NET, and relational databases, or equivalent technologies.
• Familiar with modern development tools, workflows, and engineering practices.
• Comfortable turning requirements into working, tested, and refined solutions.
• Passion for clean, maintainable, scalable software.
• Team player who enjoys exchanging ideas, giving and receiving feedback, and building solutions together.
