Functional Business Consultant* - Engineering and PLM

In this role you will own and improve engineering processes and the PLM-enabled system landscape. You will bridge Engineering, Operations and ISM to ensure coherent data and governance across CAD, PDM, PLM and ERP integrations. You’ll translate business needs into practical PLM solutions and support daily operations and future initiatives. This position offers impact across product development, manufacturing alignment and cross-functional integration. You will shape PLM strategy with stakeholders and drive value through robust governance and collaboration.

• Own and improve end-to-end Engineering and R&D processes
• Act as ISM partner for Engineering and Product Development
• Ensure alignment with Operations and Manufacturing
• Establish and enforce governance for CAD, PDM, and PLM systems
• Ensure consistency of engineering data, structures, and processes
• Provide oversight for distributed system ownership in the business
• Translate business requirements into system and process solutions
• Develop concepts for PLM capabilities, product structures, and change processes
• Evaluate process and technical fit across systems
• Support daily CAD/PDM/PLM/ERP-related operations
• Ensure system stability and coordinate issue resolution
• Collaborate with internal teams and external providers
• Represent ISM in PLM initiatives and projects
• Ensure integration with ERP and downstream processes
• Enable smooth transition from Engineering to Operations

• Strong understanding of Engineering / R&D processes
• Experience with CAD, PDM, and ideally PLM systems
• Experience in ERP integration (e.g. BOM, part management, engineering change management)
• Ability to work across heterogeneous system landscapes
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking with hands-on mindset
• Act as domain authority for Engineering and PLM within ISM
• Shape PLM strategy and roadmap with business stakeholders
• Confident communication and stakeholder management skills
