Global Project Engineer (m/f/d) Digital Transformation & OT

In this role you drive high-impact digital transformation initiatives on the shopfloor, from concept to global rollout. You will identify performance improvements and translate them into scalable digital solutions, prototyping and validating ideas across Döhler's production network. You’ll evaluate emerging technologies, build business cases, and promote adoption through cross-functional collaboration. A strong focus on AI-assisted development and rapid validation will help bring successful concepts into operation.

• Lead digital transformation projects on the shopfloor from concept to global rollout
• Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing performance and translate them into scalable digital solutions
• Prototype, test, validate, and industrialize innovative solutions across the global production network
• Evaluate technologies, define pilots, and build business cases to support investments
• Leverage AI-supported development approaches to accelerate innovation and validation
• Collaborate with production, engineering, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment
• Drive change and communicate goals, progress, and results to stakeholders

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Automation, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• Proven track record of delivering digitalization projects end-to-end in a manufacturing environment
• Hands-on commissioning experience and understanding of shopfloor operations and production realities
• Strong technical affinity with practical coding experience (Python, APIs, IIoT)
• Passion for digital technologies, innovation, and solving industrial challenges
• Strong ownership mindset and initiative
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across functions and levels
• Fluent in English; German is an advantage
