Our client is a fast-growing, internationally recognised deep-tech company backed by world-class investors, with operations spanning multiple geographies and a diverse team of 60+ nationalities. They are seeking an experienced German speaking Group Reporting Team Lead to join their Finance team in Munich.

The Role:

This is a senior individual contributor and leadership position sitting at the heart of the Group's financial reporting and strategic finance activity. You will own the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements across multiple accounting standards, lead the company's internal control framework, and act as the primary point of contact for external auditors and advisors. You will also play a central role in major capital markets and strategic finance initiatives, including audit coordination, due diligence support, and regulatory reporting.

This is a newly formed division within the organization, and you will be responsible for leading a team of 3.

Applicants must have demonstrable experience working across either the US or Asian markets to be considered for this role

Key responsibilities:

• Preparation, review, and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and/or IFRS
• Full involvement in capital markets and strategic finance projects, including audit working paper preparation, external auditor coordination, and due diligence responses
• Ongoing liaison with external auditors, tax advisors, and other professional advisors on significant accounting matters
• Driving continuous optimisation of internal control systems, financial processes, and policies
• Assessing the impact of accounting standard updates and developing compliant accounting treatment solutions
• Preparing technical accounting memos for new business initiatives and complex or unusual transactions
• Building and leading a high-performing group reporting team

Your background

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Financial Management, Economics, or a related discipline
• High levels of German language
• Demonstrable experience working across either the US or Asian markets
• 6 to 10 years of audit or group financial reporting experience, ideally within a Big Four firm or a cross-border listed company
• Demonstrated experience on cross-border listing or major capital markets audit projects
• Hands-on experience establishing and auditing internal control frameworks
• Strong written and spoken English; able to independently draft and review complex financial and audit documentation
• Experience in robotics or manufacturing is advantageous but not essential
