Head of Delivery Operations

• Scale and optimize the DigitalService's operational system


• Develop and manage operational processes from initial engagement through implementation to successful project completion


• Continuously analyze and improve business processes


• Establish pragmatic stage gates and playbooks


• Lead the team leads of Agile Coaching, PMO, and StratOps and strategically align their collaboration


• Introduce scaling frameworks and best practices and adapt them to the DigitalService


• Orchestrate the interaction between different organizational units


• Enable forward-looking capacity planning


• Maintain a strategic overview of the project portfolio


• Further develop controlling and risk management processes for scope, schedule, and budget


• Advance Delivery Operations toward initial client engagement (pre-sales)


• Act as a sparring partner to support validation of effort estimates

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience in Delivery Operations or Business Operations within a digital agency, IT consultancy, or professional services organization of approximately 300+ people


• Ideally experience guiding an organization through a growth phase


• Demonstrable experience with agile matrix structures in a professional services context


• Experience with standardization and automation of processes


• Deep understanding of agile project controlling, resource metrics, and financial modeling/pricing of IT services at the portfolio level


• Solid experience in leading and developing team leads


• Empowering leadership style (servant leadership)


• Ability to empower interdisciplinary teams with trust, empathy, and strategic orientation


• Ability to translate complex administrative frameworks of the public sector into pragmatic processes


• German language skills at C1 level


• English language skills at least B2 level
