Head of Trademark and Design Rights

• You will lead the Trademark and Design Law department, currently consisting of four employees
• You will be responsible for the trademark and design law practice both internally and externally across the entire firm
• You will be accountable for growth and business development of the trademark and design practice, including acquisition of new clients and expanding services with existing clients, for example from the firm’s patent practice
• You will actively represent the firm with a targeted external presence for the trademark and design practice
• You will manage day-to-day operations by performing your own case work, reviewing the team’s case work, and being available to handle general inquiries

Requirements

• You have successfully completed your law degree
• You have relevant professional experience in trademark and design law
• Your experience includes: prosecution, opposition and cancellation proceedings; drafting and reviewing contracts with third parties to protect the trademark portfolio; and infringement proceedings at both pre-litigation and court levels
• You are experienced in initiating proceedings before the competent authorities and courts, if necessary involving correspondence counsel
• You act with a results- and client-oriented mindset
• You are prepared to take responsibility for and actively drive the growth of the trademark and design department
• Your strong communication skills and leadership abilities convince clients and also inspire and motivate your team to achieve top performance
