HR Operations Specialist – Payroll & Administration*

Key Responsibilities

  • End‑to‑end execution of monthly payroll for Germany, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
  • Operational responsibility for core HR administrative processes, including:
    • employee onboarding and offboarding
    • contractual changes
    • maintenance of employee master data
  • Ownership of data quality and process consistency across HRIS (e.g. Dayforce), payroll systems, and external payroll providers
  • Processing of bonuses, overtime, absences, and special payroll cases
  • Coordination and collaboration with external payroll providers (e.g. Accace)
  • Acts as a primary operational contact at the interface between HR, Payroll, and Finance
  • Preparation of payroll‑related reports and support during internal and external audits
  • Independent creation and correction of notifications via the German social security reporting portal (SV‑Meldeportal)
  • Continuous identification of opportunities to improve and standardize HR and payroll processes

Your Profile

  • Several years of experience in HR Operations and/or Payroll
  • Strong knowledge of German payroll, wage tax, and social security regulations
  • Hands‑on experience with HRIS systems (ideally Dayforce) and payroll providers; DATEV experience is a plus
  • High level of accuracy, reliability, and discretion, especially when handling sensitive data
  • Structured and process‑oriented working style, with a clear sense of end‑to‑end ownership
  • Confident communicator, comfortable working with multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Fluent German and good English skills for daily business
