Indirect Tax Manager

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Indirect Tax specialist to join the fast‑paced Retail division of a leading global e‑commerce business. This role may also support wider business areas as needs evolve.

This position places you at the centre of indirect tax operations, offering exposure to complex VAT matters and frequent interaction with senior leaders. You’ll bring strong technical expertise, particularly in German VAT and play a key role in shaping compliant, commercially aligned tax processes within a dynamic international environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clear, practical guidance on German VAT legislation, regulatory updates, and relevant case law
• Advise on VAT implications for new products, business initiatives, and expansion activities
• Liaise regularly with German tax authorities, ensuring accurate interpretation and application of requirements
• Partner with stakeholders across the business, delivering timely tax insights that inform strategic decision‑making

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Fluency in spoken and written German, with the ability to interpret complex legislation and official correspondence
• Strong, hands‑on experience with German VAT regulations, ideally developed within a multinational, advisory firm, or in‑house tax team
