Interim Chief Financial Officer

Finance Director (M/W) Location: Berlin and other major cities, Germany. Main responsibilities

Serve as the Interim Chief Financial Officer and member of the executive leadership team. Lead the finance organization through a critical transformation and integration phase. Act as the primary financial advisor to the CEO and shareholders/group leadership. Ensure continuity of financial leadership during a strategic transition period. Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, treasury, tax and internal control activities. Develop financial performance management processes, KPIs and business intelligence tools. Support operational leaders through profitability analysis, cost optimization and performance monitoring. Drive finance transformation initiatives, including ERP, reporting and digitalization projects. Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and corporate financial requirements. Manage relationships with financial institutions and key external stakeholders. Support corporate development initiatives, including business integration and transformation projects. Lead and develop high‑performing finance teams in an evolving international environment.

Profile

Minimum 15 years of experience in Finance, Controlling or Financial Leadership roles. Proven experience as Chief Financial Officer or Interim CFO in international organizations. Strong background in FP&A, controlling, financial performance management and business partnering. Demonstrated experience in finance transformation, ERP implementation and change management. Experience operating in international and multicultural environments. Strong leadership and team development capabilities. Fluent in German and English. Strategic and operational finance leadership. Strong analytical and performance‑driven mindset. Ability to support business growth and transformation. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Ability to operate in dynamic and evolving organizations.
