(Junior) Data Engineer - Data Platform (m/f/d)

In this role, you will architect and scale our data platform to enable fast, reliable data ingestion, processing, and discovery for internal users. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver accessible data assets. You’ll help drive data governance and quality in a fast-paced climate-tech environment. This is a chance to shape how data powers the energy transition at a growing scaleup.

• Architect, develop and manage the data platform to support ingestion, transformation, quality assurance, monitoring, and accessibility
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs
• Work with Google Cloud Platform (CloudRun, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataform), SQLMesh, Terraform / Terramate, GitHub Actions, Python and SQL, Looker

• 2+ years in a data engineering role
• Strong understanding of data ingestion, transformation and modeling at scale
• Experience with data governance, data catalogs, IAM and metadata management
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and HCL (Terraform)
• Experience with a public cloud provider, ideally Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with BI tools and integrating them with a modern data setup
• Strong customer-centric mindset and product thinking
• Good spoken and written English; German is a plus
