Litigation Immigration Paralegal

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Paralegal with strong experience in immigration litigation to join our team. The ideal candidate will support attorneys in preparing and filing complex immigration cases, with a focus on removal defense, federal litigation, and appellate work. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at legal research and writing, and is passionate about advocating for immigrant communities.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, draft, and file immigration litigation matters, including:
Motions, briefs, and court filings for EOIR (Immigration Court)
USCIS responses (RFE, NOID, Appeals)
BIA appeals
Federal court filings (e.g., Habeas petitions, Mandamus actions), as applicable
Maintain case calendars, deadlines, and client communication.
Conduct legal research on case law, regulations, and procedural requirements.
Organize and compile evidence for filings, including exhibits, indexes, and declarations.
Assist attorneys during hearings and trial preparation.
Communicate with clients to gather information, provide updates, and prepare affidavits.
Manage case files in accordance with firm procedures and confidentiality standards.

Qualifications

5+ years of paralegal experience in immigration law; litigation experience required .
Strong understanding of:
Removal defense
Motions practice
EOIR procedures
Asylum, cancellation of removal, waivers, and related relief
Excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
