Logistics Lead

Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the Logistics Lead oversees end‑to‑end warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, and shipping activities. The role manages transportation activities by coordinating with carriers, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.

The role holds accountability for import and export compliance, ensuring all documentation and processes meet regulatory requirements across Canada, the US, and Europe. It also drives inventory accuracy through strong controls and continuous monitoring.

Supervises a team of three warehouse personnel, overseeing daily activities such as receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping, and maintaining proper organization of inventory. The Logistics Lead ensures shipments are dispatched on time and manages shipments between North America and Europe, tracking them end‑to‑end, resolving delays, and collaborating with carriers and stakeholders.

Ensures import/export documentation compliance, verifies shipping documents, maintains HTS codes, and prepares trade compliance documentation.

The position is onsite at Delta, B.C., and follows a hybrid work model. Raute, a leader in engineered wood products, is committed to sustainability and diversity.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate transportation activities with carriers, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
  • Maintain import/export compliance across Canada, the US, and Europe.
  • Drive inventory accuracy through strong controls and continuous monitoring.
  • Supervise and develop a small warehouse team of three personnel.
  • Track shipments between North America and Europe, resolve delays, and collaborate with carriers.
  • Verify shipping documents, maintain HTS codes, and prepare trade compliance documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in logistics, shipping, or warehouse operations.
  • Experience managing or supervising warehouse personnel.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control, import/export regulations, and freight claims handling.
  • Excellent organizational skills and proficiency in logistics systems.
  • Cross‑functional communication skills.
