Overview

This business is one of the world's leading engineering and energy consultancies, with a market analysis practice trusted by utilities, TSOs, banks and investors across energy markets worldwide. Their in-house power market modelling capability underpins market intelligence that clients rely on for real investment decisions, not just theoretical forecasts.

Locally, the Market Analysis team in Germany is in high demand and currently unable to keep pace with client requests. This role is advertised at Manager level, though strong Senior Consultants who are ready to take the next step are also encouraged to apply, with the final level and package determined by experience.

What you'll do

• Take ownership of the delivery of typically two concurrent projects at any time, spanning internal market intelligence products and external client work across utilities, TSOs and large transactions
• Own client relationships end-to-end, presenting and defending complex market analysis directly to senior client stakeholders
• Mentor and support analysts and consultants, with Managers taking direct input into their growth and project allocation
• Apply and oversee fundamental power market modelling across a broad range of commercial and strategic questions
• Operate with significant autonomy and no daily reporting oversight, with full accountability for project outcomes and chargeability
• Contribute to business development, positioning you for a future move into a sales-focused Principal role

What we're looking for

• 3 to 5 years' experience in power market modelling, with a track record of managing projects and, ideally, developing junior team members
• A strong fundamental market modelling background from a competitor consultancy, a utility, or a comparable energy market environment
• Proven ability to manage senior client relationships independently
• Comfortable operating with autonomy and full ownership of project outcomes
• German to C1 level, with fluent English, as most day-to-day project work is conducted in English

• Base salary: EUR 90,000-100,000 at Manager level, or EUR 80,000-90,000 for a strong Senior Consultant hire, dependent on experience
• Performance bonus of 25% (Manager) or 20% (Senior Consultant)
