Marketing Director DENS HUB

As a leader of the DENS HUB Marketing Department, directly reporting to the General Manager and part of the leadership team.

DENS HUB includes Denmark, Germany, Sweden, and Switzerland.

We operate in 7 countries, shipping to Austria, Finland, and Norway.

Responsibilities

  • Drive overall Brand Awareness of Sephora in all our Markets.
  • Increase Traffic in both Physical and Online Stores.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategy to increase market share and brand awareness through 3 main areas.

Full Funnel Media

  • Develop and execute a holistic, data-driven media strategy spanning all stages of the marketing funnel, from awareness to conversion and advocacy.
  • Oversee the planning, budgeting, and optimization of all paid media channels (e.g., search, social, display, programmatic, video, affiliate marketing) to maximize ROI and achieve performance targets.
  • Lead the strategy for organic media growth, including SEO & GEO, content marketing, and influencer partnerships, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Implement advanced attribution models to accurately measure the impact of various media touchpoints and optimize spend across channels.
  • Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging media platforms to identify new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Lead campaign implementation across regional markets by coordinating asset localization, media planning, and activation calendars with local teams.
  • Manage relationships with local agencies, media partners, and vendors to ensure quality execution and cost-effectiveness.
  • Close collaboration with the Digital team in regards of Performance Marketing.

PR, Influencer Marketing & Events

  • Lead and direct PR & Influencer strategies to ensure a strong presence and maintain relevance in all HUB countries.
  • Plan and manage sponsorships, branded events, and large-scale consumer activations, including strong activations for our network growth like new store openings.
  • Develop event themes, content, and experiences that align with marketing objectives and target audience interests.
  • Oversee all logistical aspects of event management, from vendor selection and budget management to on-site execution and post-event analysis.
  • Implement robust measurement frameworks to evaluate event ROI, lead generation, and brand perception impact.
  • Explore innovative virtual and hybrid event formats to expand reach and engagement.
  • Craft and execute a proactive PR strategy that enhances brand reputation, drives thought leadership and secures high-impact media coverage in target publications.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key journalists, industry analysts, influencers, and media outlets.
  • Oversee crisis communications planning and execution in close collaboration with European headquarters, ensuring effective and timely responses to protect brand integrity.
  • Develop compelling narratives and messaging that resonate with diverse audiences and support overall brand positioning.
  • Manage external PR agencies, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and measurable results.

Animation Plan & Partner Activation

  • Define Annual Sephora Animation Plan as basis for Trade Marketing execution considering local requirements.
  • Define and implement a comprehensive and aligned Marketing Plan with our Department Store partners incl. planning of joint events and/or activations in different locations (e.g., placements, visibility).
  • Align retail media investments into partner networks with other streams (e.g., Digital, Offer).

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Emphatic personality promoting an open feedback culture and creating psychological safety for the team.
  • Lead with clarity and accountability, especially under pressure.
  • Motivating & energizing and naturally celebrating our successes.
  • Coach, develop and lead the team and build strong succession plans.
  • Close collaboration with the DENS and European Head Quarter.
  • Collaborate with other Sephora Markets to receive & share best practices.
  • Team player of nature and helps others grow.
  • Cultivates creativity and disruptions.
  • Create a culture of high performance with clear expectations.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of profound experience as Marketing Director or similar.
  • A proven track record of developing and executing successful full-funnel marketing strategies that drive measurable business results.
  • A deep expertise in digital media, SEO, content marketing, public relations, influencer marketing, event management and first experience with AI (e.g., GEO).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, derive actionable insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and inspire high‑performing teams.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Profound knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Fluent in English is a must, German language is an advantage.
