New Markets Application Manager

You lead a global team to translate market needs into scalable application solutions for new markets, aligning technology with commercial strategy. You drive cross-functional collaboration with market development, technology, and external partners to enable market entry. You oversee early-stage development, test criteria, and go/no-go decisions, shaping growth trajectories for Elementis’ unique hectorite assets. This role blends science leadership with strategic execution to expand our market footprint in a global setting.

• Lead a global team of application scientists to develop and guide performance-focused solutions
• Translate market needs into clear targets, concepts, and test criteria for new market entry
• Propose CAPEX options for laboratory resourcing as markets mature
• Manage external testing partners and tollers, including performance oversight
• Partner with New Market Development to present application expertise to prospects
• Represent Elementis at technical events and deliver distribution training for launched products
• Drive technical discussions at customer meetings and respond to inquiries
• Provide quarterly insights and progress to Exco and input into strategic planning

• PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
• 15+ years in application/formulation development or technical service for specialty chemicals or additives
• Fluent in English
