Operational Excellence Senior Specialist (m/f/d)

We're looking for an Operational Excellence Senior Specialist to lead the deployment of The Maersk Way (TMW) across Customs operations in the NEC Area.

Responsibilities

• Lead the deployment and continuous improvement of The Maersk Way (TMW) across Customs operations.
• Drive performance through Lean methodologies, structured problem-solving, Kaizen workshops, and data-driven decision making.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities, prioritize initiatives, and deliver sustainable operational improvements.
• Establish effective performance management governance, performance routines, and operational standards.
• Coach and develop frontline teams, strengthening a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with Digital and Data teams to ensure improvement initiatives are practical, scalable, and enabled by the right technology.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Customs operations or Customs management within logistics or supply chain.
• Strong background in Operational Excellence, Lean, or Continuous Improvement (A3, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Daily Management).
• A proven track record of delivering measurable business improvements through cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience leading change and influencing stakeholders across matrix organizations.
• Strong facilitation, coaching, and stakeholder management skills, with a pragmatic, hands‑on approach.
• Experience with structured project management methodologies (such as PMI or PRINCE2) is an advantage.
