What lies ahead for you?

• Support and execution of projects and/or sub-projects in the area of procurement cost optimisation
• Development and implementation of customer-specific problem solutions in procurement matters
• Analysis of global procurement markets, trends, suppliers, and prices, and the associated identification of cost‑saving potentials for our clients
• Main contact for suppliers, including supplier development in international markets, involving the relevant specialist departments and purchasing departments of our customers
• Leadership / support for our project managers in supplier / price negotiations
• Design and conclusion of supply agreements and framework contracts
• Conducting and facilitating value, outsourcing, and make‑or‑buy analyses

What should you bring?

• Completed degree in economics or engineering
• 2-5 years of professional experience in strategic purchasing within a medium‑sized company and/or initial experience in management consulting
• A convincing personality combined with a high service mentality and strong customer focus
• Willingness to perform, communication and teamwork skills, and strength of execution
• Strong analytical skills and a good technical understanding
• Targeted, action‑oriented work
• Long‑term vision in customer support, taking into account our cross‑selling products
• Language skills: fluent German and English, other foreign languages an advantage
• Very good knowledge of the MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• High willingness to travel (Mon‑Thu on‑site at the client’s premises)
• Hands‑on mentality and a good dose of humour
