• Lead the design of high-quality web experiences that help customers discover Monzo’s value
• Use quantitative and qualitative data to identify opportunities and understand customer behaviour
• Turn customer and business problems into hypotheses, design experiments and apply the learnings
• Bring strong visual and interaction design to web experiences that drive customer and commercial outcomes
• Solve complex and ambiguous design challenges while balancing customer needs, business goals and technical constraints
• Define product visions and direction for coherent long-term customer experiences
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Data and Research around customer problems and opportunities
• Use AI to improve ideation, analysis, prototyping and production code workflows
• Take a pragmatic approach to experimentation while maintaining appropriate craft and polish
• Act as a Design role model, share work, mentor others and contribute to the wider Design team.

• Proven track record of designing high-quality web experiences
• Portfolio demonstrating strong visual and interaction design craft
• Use data to inform design decisions and partner with Data Scientists or Analysts
• Connect customer experiences with measurable product and commercial outcomes
• Form hypotheses, experiment with different approaches and adapt based on learnings
• Balance speed and experimentation with a high bar for craft
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data, Research and other partners
• Work effectively in ambiguous situations and create clarity and direction
• Think beyond individual screens or experiments and shape longer-term experiences
• Mentor others, provide feedback and share design expertise
• Be motivated by Monzo’s mission and help more people discover its value
