Project Controls Manager

As a Project Controls Manager, you will lead project controls across planning, scheduling, costs, forecasting, and reporting to enable informed decisions on complex capital projects. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to shape execution strategies from bid to delivery, driving operational excellence and continuous improvement. You’ll implement robust EVM practices, monitor performance, and provide strategic insights to senior stakeholders. This role offers impact across large programmes and opportunities to mentor teams and share best practices.

• Lead and coordinate all Project Controls activities (planning & scheduling, cost control, progress measurement, forecasting, reporting, earned value management)
• Develop and maintain integrated baseline schedules and project control systems
• Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports with schedule/cost status, forecasts, variance analysis, and risks
• Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, and Project Management to develop execution strategies
• Implement and maintain progress measurement and Earned Value Management methodologies
• Analyze performance, identify deviations, and develop mitigation/recovery plans
• Ensure compliance with client requirements, company standards, and Project Controls processes
• Support continuous improvement by standardising tools, methodologies, and reporting across projects
• Share knowledge with regional/global Project Controls teams and drive operational excellence
• Lead and mentor Project Controls professionals on large/complex programmes
• Support project governance, internal audits, and executive reporting

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, or related discipline
• Minimum 10 years in Project Controls/Planning/PM in EPC, infrastructure, energy, industrial, or capital projects
• Experience with Nuclear Decommissioning or regulated industries is an advantage
• Strong expertise in scheduling, cost control, forecasting, risk management, and EVM
• Experience across full project lifecycle from tender to close-out
• Proven ability to deliver accurate reporting and strategic insights to senior stakeholders
• Experience leading multidisciplinary Project Controls teams
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-cultural collaboration in international environments
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Office; SAP and Power BI are advantageous
• Fluent English; German (B2) desirable
