Regional Category Manager - Castings and Forgings(m/f/d)

Responsibilities

• Responsible for leading and delivering high-quality, innovative, and market intelligence–driven category management within the Castings & Forgings spend area, ensuring the availability of goods and services
• Regional category target driver, achiever and communicator of targets within the regional community in alignment with global category targets; distributes global and/or regional targets to local category teams in alignment with GCM, implements and drives regional target / KPIs with support of the GCM and LCM, supports the plants, LAC’s and markets to achieve their targets
• Developing and executing professional regional sourcing strategies for the assigned spend categories in region EURAF, regional (EURAF operations and markets) and executing constant market observation on price, supplier, market product development and innovation; aligns strategy with global category manager for global spend categories
• Execution of regional contract and supplier relationship management including supplier development and innovation; ensures that local requirements are covered in contract annexes
• Consolidates requirements and demands in category management from across EURAF as input for global category strategies; ensures top‑down and bottom‑up alignment
• Builds working relationships with key stakeholders, other category teams, regional suppliers and external partners
• Leads regional strategic sourcing projects that secure the goods, works and services that most appropriately identify the addressed needs of the customers and users while ensuring value for money, compliance with relevant policy and procurement legislation and generating cashable and non‑cashable efficiencies throughout the life of contracts
• Executes professional regional tenders (RFx) including establishing and negotiating contracts according to the defined sourcing strategy for a specific spend category
• Supports the Global CM in providing regional market analysis, trends, foresight and warnings, supplier and market data
• Ensures that global standards, processes and templates are used in the region as well as harmonization and transparency on parts and tooling
• Major tasks are according to role profiles "Global Category Manager and Regional Category Manager" roles and responsibilities (annex)

Qualifications

• Completed degree in a business or technical field (e.g. Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, etc.) or a comparable qualification
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar position in strategic procurement, with a focus on castings & forgings
• Proven track record in conducting global tenders and negotiations in an international environment
• Experience in stakeholder management as well as working with international teams
• Strong communicator with excellent networking skills
• Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
• Strong negotiation skills and analytical thinking, problem‑solving capability
