Primary Function

The position will be responsible for creating and managing a business strategy and its execution to meet and exceed the commercial and financial goals for the markets under their responsibility for the region. The role represents the Abbott Molecular organization internally and externally, directly leads the commercial teams, collaborates with other Abbott Molecular functions, ensures the smooth running of all territory operations, and continuously enhances team performance and capabilities through coaching, feedback, and a robust management cadence.

Your Tasks

  • Full revenue responsibility including forecasting and target performance achievement
  • Full direct responsibility for a team of Sales and Commercial Operations
  • Ensure smooth running of country operations through collaboration with internal and external parties
  • Pro‑actively drive and own Regional and Country Strategies, and Commercial Excellence and Market Access tactics
  • Execute sales plan to achieve revenue target, higher profitability, higher win‑rates, and higher share of wallet for existing customers
  • Represent the Abbott Molecular organization before internal and external stakeholders, including C‑Level customers, KOLs, associations, government, and reimbursement stakeholders
  • Maintain development and succession plans to address future staffing proactively
  • Develop people in current and future roles by active coaching
  • Ensure achievement and continuous improvement of KPIs including Sales, Service, and Operational Excellence
  • Define the long‑term strategic plan for the region and ensure that plan objectives are met, balancing short‑term and long‑term business needs
  • Assess, identify, and prioritize potential market growth opportunities and market synergies to secure competitiveness, and implement corrective actions when required
  • Acquire, inspire, and retain top talent to achieve a high level of competence, motivation, and efficiency, securing sustainable profitability and developing a high‑performance organisation that drives best practice and creates a culture of innovation, pro‑activity, and accountability
  • Coach, develop, and manage sales managers through a sales force automation system, including establishing appropriate KPIs

Your Qualification

  • University degree, ideally in Medical Technology, Biochemistry, Biomedical, or related fields
  • Experience within a similar role working as a people manager
  • Proven sales track record and commercial operational management in Healthcare – preferably within IVD/Diagnostics or Molecular or related markets
  • Collaborative management style capable of working in a networked organization with a strong culture of virtual working teams
  • Service‑oriented – achieves exceptionally high levels of customer satisfaction by carefully analyzing customer requirements and adapting product and service delivery to those requirements
