Registered Nurse Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers quality care consistent with the scope of practice as outlined by the local state nurse practice act. The RN works in accordance with local practice acts and regulations, delegates and ensures supervision of nursing activities to other competent nursing personnel, and assumes responsibility and accountability for the quality of care delivered. The RN acts as a patient advocate, promotes high standards of health care, and leads best practices within the nursing profession.

Registered Nurse Minimum Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment
• Active CPR certification
• Knowledge of state laws and regulations governing nursing practice
• Completion of initial and annual clinical competencies as assigned by the role

Registered Nurse Essential Functions

• Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records
• Administer medications and monitor patients for reactions and side effects
• Record patients’ medical information and vital signs
• Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients’ condition
• Consult and coordinate with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans
• Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patient responses and conditions
• Monitor all aspects of patient care, including diet and physical activity
• Direct or supervise less‑skilled nursing or healthcare personnel or supervise a particular unit
• Prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments
• Instruct individuals, families, or groups on topics such as health education, disease prevention, and childbirth, and develop health improvement programs
• Prepare rooms, sterile instruments, equipment, or supplies and ensure adequate stock of supplies is maintained
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient condition
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the facility

Registered Nurse Schedule

12‑Hour shifts: Full‑Time/Part‑Time; Day, Night, Rotating Weekends; PRN (minimum 3–6 weeks onsite training). PRN staff required to work two shifts per month.

Shift Differential Offered

Day (3 p.m.–11 p.m.): $4.25
Evening (11 p.m.–7:30 a.m.): $5.75
Night (3 a.m.–7:30 a.m.): $3.50
12‑Hour: $4.50
PRN: $6.00
