Reinsurance Accountant Treaty and Claims Accounting Latin America

In this 24‑month position at Hannover Re in Hannover, you will support Latin America reinsurance accounting, treaty and claims processes. You will work with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate closing and timely financial reporting in an international setting. The role involves handling accounting statements, claims processing, SAP cash disbursements, and collaboration on projects to improve efficiency. • Review, process and post reinsurance accounting statements with completeness checks
• Handle claims processing, including sanctions screenings and coordination with claims specialists
• Manage SAP cash disbursements and reconcile outstanding items within ongoing accounting processes
• Maintain forecasts and estimates for selected reinsurance contracts
• Support quarterly closing activities and contribute to timely financial reporting
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and participate in projects and working groups

• Degree in Business Administration
• Initial experience in life insurance or related insurance industry
• Exposure to automation tools such as Copilot or Power Query (preferred)
• Basic knowledge of HGB and IFRS 17
• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Fluent Spanish with conversational German and English
• Strong numerical aptitude, analytical and conceptual thinking, structured and high attention to quality
