Robotics Technician for Automated Production Systems Drive Unit (m/w/d) - Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Drive Unit area who will play a crucial role in the development of our electric motors by utilizing their expertise to optimize, question, and eliminate processes, while continuously improving production efficiency and quality in a challenging and stimulating environment.

What You'll Do

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in complex automated production systems, focusing on robotic components to keep operations running smoothly.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance, upgrades, servicing, damage reports, and troubleshooting for reliable documentation.
• Apply knowledge of robot technology, including programming and vision systems, to diagnose and fix problems effectively.
• Perform repairs, maintenance, servicing, and modifications on production equipment, meeting standards with timely and professional execution.
• Contribute to preventive maintenance efforts to prevent downtime and ensure long‑term robotic system performance.

What You'll Bring

• Completed vocational training as a mechatronics technician (m/f/d) or comparable qualification.
• Strong flexibility, communication, and teamwork skills, with a proactive and action-oriented approach.
• Willingness to work shifts in a fully continuous model.
• Good knowledge of control engineering, pneumatics, hydraulics, and/or robotics.
• Solid technical understanding and practical hands‑on skills.
• Experience in maintaining production plants.
• Good English skills required; German skills desirable.
• Experience with Fanuc robots, programming, Fanuc vision systems, and troubleshooting.
• Technical assignment possible.
• Candidates are expected to uphold and actively promote sustainability principles in their daily work, operating in line with Tesla Global Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHS&S) Policy and EMAS requirements, fostering a culture of continuous environmental improvement.
