Senior Account Executive – West

Bring a rolodex of contacts from investor-owned, municipal, and cooperative utilities across North America
Create sustainable long-term relationships by providing win-win business solutions to utility clients in the US
Develop new leads for prospective utility clients and inform regional priorities
Own key relationships with utility leaders focused on grid modernization, transmission and distribution infrastructure inspections, asset and vegetation management, grid planning, and operations
Attend and present at select trade shows and conferences
Write formal project proposals, presentation slides, and other tools
Understand utility needs and pain points, drive deployment scoping, and close deals
Negotiate contracts through final execution
Maintain efficient and timely project progress
Support project managers in transitioning new contracts into implementation
Coordinate with associates and co-founders on sales process improvements, product development, regulatory and policy goals, and competitive landscape
Coach SDRs on nurturing leads and fostering stronger pipeline
Maintain HubSpot and keep management and stakeholders informed on sales activities and pipeline
Exceed sales targets by building and executing an aggressive utility pipeline

Requirements

5+ years of full-time experience working directly with electric utilities
BA/BS, or equivalent experience, in engineering, business, or relevant field
Significant domain expertise in Power Grids, Power systems, Energy Markets, T&D assets and operations, Grid Planning and Operations, Grid modernization, or Grid Reliability
Demonstrated track record of empathy, individual initiative, a spirit of inquiry, and solutions-orientation
Attention to detail and ability to function effectively under time pressure
Ability to work with diverse teams and translate between various areas of expertise
Flexibility and willingness to take on a variety of tasks in response to immediate customer needs
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and excellent work ethic
Comfort with remote collaboration tools
Travel required when necessary
