Senior C++ Software Developer for Test and Verification Software for High-Frequency Applications

In this role you will design, implement, and maintain high-quality application software for provisioning, testing, and documenting HF satellite communication devices. You will work closely with the embedded software team, or lead full software projects including firmware where needed. You’ll run prototype tests with hardware teams and hand over tools to production with complete documentation and training. You will enable data analysis and quality assurance to boost production capacity, while upholding deadlines, budgets, and software quality. • Conceptual design and implementation of application software for provisioning and testing of devices
• Collaboration with embedded software team or managing complete software projects including firmware
• Prototype testing with hardware development
• Handover of software tools to production with documentation and training
• Configuration of frequency converters via XML files
• Development of software-based data analysis with SQL database connections for QA and throughput improvements
• Shared responsibility for team objectives including deadlines, budget, quality, performance, maintainability, and scalability

• Completed studies in computer science, electrical engineering, physics, or a comparable qualification
• Solid knowledge of C/C++, especially object-oriented programming, with at least 3 years of professional experience
• Extensive experience with the Qt framework
• Proficient use of XML; JSON or YAML serialization desirable
• Good knowledge of Git, unit testing, and continuous integration
• Knowledge of high-frequency technology is a significant advantage
• Experience with measuring instruments (e.g., spectrum analyzers, signal generators) desirable
• Knowledge of I2C and SPI bus systems desirable
• Basic knowledge of Python 3 desirable
