Senior Communications Manager

In this role you lead and coordinate global medicine communications within a matrix healthcare environment, shaping the strategic agenda and ensuring campaigns align with Global Comms goals. You will partner with Human Pharma Medicine to position leadership in science and strengthen Medicine's reputation. You will advise senior management on engagement rhythms and oversee strategic communication calendars for leaders, including the Chief Medical Officer. You’ll develop platforms for stakeholder communication, drive governance, and build a team to enable transformation across business units and groups.

• Shape and coordinate the global execution of the Global Medicine Communications Strategic Agenda
• Align Medicine campaigns with the Global Comms Strategic Agenda across functional teams
• Partner with Human Pharma Medicine to position leadership in science to diverse stakeholders
• Strengthen Medicine's reputation as a key pillar within Human Pharma
• Advise senior management on employee engagement and communication rhythms
• Implement a proportionate and strategic calendar for senior leaders’ internal and external communications
• Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer to elevate her stature as a credible voice of science
• Develop effective communication platforms and formats as a dedicated business partner
• Implement global governance and core processes for consistent internal and external communications
• Liaise with senior leadership and lead a team to support transformation and change in BU and Group Functions

• University degree in Mass communication / Journalism / Media Management with extensive experience in communications and in managing senior leadership/executive teams
• Proven track record in strategic leadership communications and experience in a matrixed healthcare organization
• Excellent editorial and copywriting skills plus crisis and issues management experience
• Knowledge of traditional and new media models and analytics; digital/social media management is a plus
• Ability to translate strategy into actionable plans and anticipate business and stakeholder needs
• Experience working with C-suite, managing expectations, and executing 360-degree campaigns with multi-stakeholder groups
• Excellent English verbal and written skills; proficiency in other languages is an advantage
