Senior Construction Safety Engineer

Duration: Mid-September 2026 - End of Q1 2028 - (High likelihood of extension)

Schedule: Full-time, 5 days/week

We are seeking a Senior Construction Safety Engineer to support construction and commissioning activities on a major pharmaceutical project.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement construction safety strategy and Behaviour-Based Safety initiatives.
• Review Construction, Commissioning & Quality HSE plans.
• Review work permits, Task Risk Assessments (TRA) and safety documentation.
• Advise the Project Manager on safety performance, KPIs and improvement actions.
• Coach and support Construction Management and contractors on safety requirements.
• Monitor safety performance, statistics and improvement plans.
• Participate in constructability assessments and EHSE checklist reviews.
• Build strong relationships with site safety teams and ensure alignment with local procedures.
• Lead and/or support incident investigations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years' experience in a comparable construction safety environment, ideally pharmaceutical, oil & gas or food.
• Strong construction safety management experience.
• Pharmaceutical manufacturing/project experience highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong written and spoken German and English .
