Senior Database Administrator (m/f/d)

As a database administrator, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining our data infrastructure. You will be instrumental in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our databases and will actively help shape the future data architecture of the corporate group.

Your Responsibilities

• Comprehensive management of MSSQL database systems, including design, monitoring, and operation
• Migration of existing MSSQL systems and other DBMS (MySQL, MariaDB) to current versions (on-premises and cloud)
• Coordination with business units and management of service providers
• Contributing technical innovations, improvements, and ideas
• Designing future-proof, highly available, and secure database systems
• Management of database host systems (Windows, Linux, Azure)
• Implementation of security measures and access controls

Your Profile

• You have professional experience or a degree in IT and the skills required to operate databases
• You have in-depth knowledge and several years of professional experience in operating MSSQL Server and are curious about other systems (MySQL, MariaDB, Oracle)
• You have a command of German at least at the B2 level (B2 certificate or German as a native language)
• You enjoy your work and modern technologies, are a strong communicator, have a team spirit, are creative, can think analytically, and take pride in ensuring high uptime for your databases
• You want to ensure the service we provide to our customers
