Senior Expert, Digital Unit Setup – Organizational Design

Responsibilities

• Design the target operating model and organizational structure for the new Digital Unit
• Clearly define the differentiation and interfaces between Digital Unit, IT, CTO organization, and business functions
• Develop role descriptions, responsibilities, competency profiles, and key interfaces
• Create market-aligned job postings for prioritized key roles
• Structure the initial Phase 1 scope and focus areas of the new unit
• Define collaboration models, governance principles, and decision‑making interfaces
• Work closely with the internal project lead and selected business experts

Requirements

• Senior experience in organizational design, digital transformation, operating model design, or CTO/IT strategy
• Strong understanding of digital innovation topics such as data, AI/ML, IoT, or process intelligence
• Experience in defining roles, governance models, collaboration structures, and business-facing digital functions
• Ability to translate strategic objectives into pragmatic organizational and role concepts
• Strong stakeholder management skills across IT, business, and executive functions
• Structured, hands‑on, and able to deliver results in a short timeframe
• Fluent English required; German is a plus
