Senior Kotlin Engineer (m/f/d) - B2B Sales & Distribution team

In this role you design and modernize backend services in Kotlin and Spring Boot, powering Flix’s partner ecosystem. You will build and maintain REST APIs for internal and external users, and drive architectural decisions alongside cross-functional teams. You’ll improve observability, performance, and reliability while advancing cloud infrastructure on AWS and Kubernetes. You work in an AI-native development environment, contributing to code-review automation and an internal AI tooling marketplace. This is a hands-on position with a clear impact on Flix’s backend stack and partner experience.

• Design and develop backend services in Kotlin and Spring Boot
• Build and maintain REST APIs for internal and external partners
• Participate in architectural decisions and modernization initiatives
• Improve observability, performance, and reliability (DataDog)
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure on AWS and Kubernetes
• Work in an AI-native environment, including AI-integrated code review and Claude Code plugin marketplace

• 5+ years in backend development with JVM languages
• at least 2 years of Kotlin experience
• Hands-on Spring Boot experience
• Experience building and maintaining REST APIs and distributed systems
• Strong SQL knowledge with MySQL and PostgreSQL
• Solid fundamentals in clean code, ORM, and persistence layers
