Senior Legal Counsel

You will apply deep IP expertise to protect Boehringer Ingelheim’s pharma and animal health products. In a cross-functional setting, you mitigate launch risks from third-party patents and defend existing protections against infringement. You’ll coordinate a network of external lawyers to manage disputes and contribute to complex agreements that advance business goals. This role offers visibility into strategic IP leadership within a global, innovation-driven company.

• Mitigate launch risks from third-party patents for new products and defend against infringement
• Enforce and defend Boehringer Ingelheim’s patents through disputes and litigation
• Develop launch risk mitigation strategies in cross-functional settings
• Provide tailored business advice on leveraging existing patent portfolios
• Manage and instruct external lawyers and patent attorneys in disputes and proceedings
• Negotiate and draft complex agreements to secure favorable outcomes for the company

• Fully qualified lawyer
• Longterm IP specialization in pharma with international experience
• Experience in managing large international IP portfolios
• Experience leading patent litigation
• Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry
• Strong ability to present legally and technically complex matters clearly
