Senior Legal Counsel & Data Protection Officer (f/m/d)

As Senior Legal Counsel & DPO, you guide legal, data protection, and compliance for a fast-growing digital health unit. You translate Group requirements for a non-insurance entity and liaise with Allianz Group legal and compliance functions. You shape AI governance, contract strategy, and privacy program while enabling cross-functional teams to operate within regulatory boundaries. You will influence digital health initiatives at scale and contribute to a culture of compliant, responsible innovation.

• Draft, review, and negotiate IT and non-IT contracts (SaaS, service, consulting, DPA) and maintain standard templates
• Provide strategic legal advice to ADH management and cross-functional teams on supplier risk and third-party matters
• Advise on AI-related topics and assessments in relation to use of AI at ADH
• Adapt Allianz corporate rules for ADH and oversee implementation
• Support corporate legal housekeeping
• Maintain ADH's data privacy organization per GDPR and Allianz rules
• Own records of processing activities and support privacy/impact assessments
• Advise product owners and information security on privacy implications of features
• Foster a privacy-focused culture through tailored trainings
• Manage ADH's compliance program and non-financial risk controls
• Monitor regulatory changes and support implementation
• Deliver tailored compliance trainings

• 5+ years in contract and IT law, from law firm or in-house, focusing on privacy, IT law, and regulatory matters
• Solid knowledge of AI regulation and practical relevance for digital processes
• Fluent English with legal terminology
• Proven experience as a Data Protection Officer and/or Compliance Officer
• Strong track record drafting/negotiating IT contracts (SaaS, DPA, joint controller, controller-to-controller)
• Target-oriented, diligent, autonomous yet collaborative working style
• German law degree and related qualifications included in education
• Privacy certification (e.g., CIPP/E) is a plus
• Experience advising on data processing and data protection impact assessments
