Senior Program Manager, AMZL Launch & Expansion

Location: Berlin, BE, DE. This is a full‑time on‑site position.

Overview

You will pioneer new ways of thinking, designing and delivering programs that impact Amazon’s future. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you will scope new solutions, conduct research and analysis, and drive improvements that align with the long‑term vision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create innovative solutions using data and research to address broader organizational challenges.
  • Take a big‑picture approach in analyzing business operations, driving improvements across multiple teams and organizations.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to establish and prioritize improvement programs, leading them from inception to completion.
  • Enhance operational performance of every program in partnership with stakeholders.

Day in the Life

As a Senior Program Manager you will drive and manage the implementation of creative, data‑driven change, leading improvement projects and programs. You will use strategic thinking to define and execute efficient project plans. Based on the team’s needs, you may work on‑site or remotely.

Team & Role Description

Your team is at the heart of Amazon’s fastest fulfillment network in Europe. The Launch and Expansion group focuses on making AMZL Europe more cost‑effective and customer‑centric by improving the existing network, inventing new efficient last‑mile delivery methods, and optimizing the development of our under‑the‑roof and on‑road infrastructure. Roles vary from program managers selecting and launching new sites, planners solving low‑emission zone challenges, strategy analysts maximizing existing buildings, to data analysts delivering actionable insights.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
  • Experience in program or project management.
  • Proficiency with data and metrics to drive improvements.
  • Ownership of program strategy, end‑to‑end delivery, and communication of results to senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field.
  • Experience leading process improvements.
  • Fluent in German (spoken, written, and read).
  • Certifications such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Prince2, or other project‑management credentials.
