(Senior) Project Manager Cavitation (m/f/d)

Located in Hamburg, the private and independent Hamburg Ship Model Basin - HSVA - is a service and consulting
company for clients in the maritime industry worldwide. Our products contribute to a greener, more sustainable
usage of marine environments. We help reducing emissions from shipping and we increase safety in marine
transportation. We are partners to our clients for the development of innovative, tailor‑made solutions in shipping

services in the field of maritime hydrodynamics, maritime aerodynamics and arctic technology as well as
associated disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Management of cavitation projects in the HYKAT testing facility
• Overall project lead of test campaigns for clients and research projects
• Effective steering of cross-functional project teams
• Planning, coordination and procuring of resources
• Monitoring of progress and budget, risk analysis
• Driving of internal developments
• Communication with stakeholders (clients, external parties, Management)
• Scientific and technical responsibility for the overall project goals
• Reporting and presentation of results
• Consulting services for customers
• Acquisition and preparation of quotationsRepresentation of HSVA in working groups, committees as well as on symposia, conferences and exhibitions

Requirements

• Proven track record as overall manager of technical projects in a relevant industrial field
• At least second level university degree (MSc, PhD), preferably with knowledge of cavitation phenomena, measuring techniques, fluid mechanics, naval architecture, marine engineering or comparable fields
• Motivated to take responsibilities
• Good self-organisation and organisation skills
