Senior Sales Executive

Overview

In this role you will drive new business and deepen strategic relationships in the German P&C insurance market. You will manage long, complex sales cycles for core enterprise and SaaS solutions and collaborate with internal teams and partners to shape compelling value propositions. You will represent Guidewire at events and coordinate multi-stakeholder efforts to unlock large, strategic deals. This is a high-impact, growth-focused leadership position within a global software provider.

Verantwortungsbereiche

Territory ownership across Germany with focus on new business (80%) and expansion (20%)
Build relationships with insurers' technical and business decision-makers
Lead end-to-end sales process from initial contact to close, including value positioning and business case support
Coordinate with Sales Ops, Marketing, Product, and Professional Services to execute account strategies
Maintain accurate pipeline and account data in company systems
Manage post-sale relationships with support from Customer Account and Success teams
Deliver technical/functional presentations with product experts and advisors
Prepare proposals and quotations aligned with client expectations and guidelines
Monitor competitor activity and provide insights to marketing and product teams
Represent Guidewire at industry events; travel as needed

Zentrale Anforderungen

Native-level German and deep knowledge of the German insurance market; experience with insurers
10–15 years of enterprise software sales, ideally SaaS, selling complex core systems into insurance
Proven ability to create, advance, and close large strategic deals in long multi-stakeholder cycles
Strong value-selling skills connecting client needs with Guidewire solutions
Highly proactive and able to navigate large organizational barriers
Strong business acumen and understanding of CIO/CTO challenges, enterprise tech, and core system transformation
Team-oriented with the ability to lead autonomously in the territory
Experience working with system integrators and strategic partners
Strong analytical skills for market trend evaluation and opportunity identification
