Senior Specialist Supply Chain (m/w/d) / Senior Supply Chain Planner (m/f/d)

In this role you will drive production and material planning for multiple product lines at the Neckarbischofsheim site, contributing to SIOP and cross-functional targets. You collaborate with marketing, sales, manufacturing, and procurement to ensure on-time delivery and optimal inventory. You actively develop and improve supply chain planning processes within the Systems Operations Group, shaping how Microchip meets customer demand. • Review MRP outputs and respond to demand fluctuations
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Engineering and Purchasing to meet customer delivery dates
• Create production orders and schedule customer orders
• Cross-train staff to cover absences
• Support development of junior staff and planning team activities
• Produce/analyze data on demand, delivery reliability, and inventory
• Prepare executive-level reports and participate in SIOP
• Maintain customer demand profiles in Smoothie and Microsoft AX
• Gather forecast information from BU representatives and customers
• Set inventory targets aligned with forecasts
• Provide clear build requirements to internal/external manufacturing partners
• Monitor delivery and drive improvement actions
• Collaborate with Inventory management to meet stock targets
• Partner with procurement to identify critical components
• Participate in customer meetings for critical supply and new product ramps
• Coordinate with New Product teams for time-to-market and capacity planning
• Lead/participate in continuous improvement initiatives within supply chain

• Minimum six years in supply chain and inventory management in a medium/large manufacturing/logistics environment
• Diploma/Degree level and training in master planning, MRP or APICS certification or equivalent
• Knowledge of import/export requirements
• Experience with MRP in multi-level BOM structures
• Excellent analytical capabilities and experience reporting to senior management
• Strong IT skills, especially Microsoft Excel
• Self-starter with proven results
• Knowledge of Axapta/Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP (SAP, Oracle)
• Knowledge of Lean supply chain principles with demonstrable results
