Senior Tax Manager / Tax Director (REMOTE) | Advisory-Focused Virtual CPA Firm

$160K-$180K Base + BonusA growing cloud-based CPA firm is looking to add a Senior Tax Manager or Tax Director to help strengthen the technical review, advisory, and operational side of the tax department.This is a highly visible role within the firm, geared toward someone who enjoys being involved beyond just reviewing returns. The position will play a key role in helping mentor the team, improve workflow structure, support client advisory work, and help bring more organization and scalability to a fast-moving environment.The firm operates fully remotely, utilizes UltraTax, and works with a broad mix of closely held businesses, pass-through entities, and HNW individual clients.This is not a rigid corporate environment. The team moves quickly, collaborates heavily, and values people who can help create structure and efficiency without overcomplicating things. The right person will be someone who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced setting while also helping improve the way the department functions long term.Role ResponsibilitiesFinal review of complex individual, partnership, S-Corp, and corporate tax returnsAdvisory and planning support for business owners and HNW clientsMentor and develop Tax Seniors and Managers across the teamHelp improve department workflow, review processes, collaboration, and operational efficiencyPartner with leadership on team structure, process improvements, and scalability initiativesServe as a technical resource and escalation point for more complex tax mattersWork cross-functionally with firm leadership to help improve delivery consistency and client experienceWhat They're Looking For8+ years of public accounting tax experienceStrong review background across flow-through entities and HNW individual taxationPrior experience operating in a Manager, Senior Manager, or Director-level capacityComfortable mentoring staff and helping lead teams in a collaborative environmentExperience within cloud-based / virtual firms is a plusUltraTax experience strongly preferredSomeone who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys helping bring structure and organization to growing teamsCompensation & Environment$160K-$180K base depending on experiencePerformance bonus potentialFully remote environmentFlexible culture with strong emphasis on trust and accountabilityHigh visibility within the organization and ability to help shape the future direction of the tax department
