The role is an accountable technical lead position for demanding EPC projects in the commercial New Energy field. It begins with the first site inspection and remains involved until successful feed-in to the grid. The employer expects the successful candidate to use specialist knowledge across photovoltaic rooftop systems, electricity storage, charging infrastructure, energy management and network technology as project conditions require.

Much of the value of the position lies in making implementation technically reliable. The lead will work alongside planning and engineering teams, supervise construction work in person, coordinate subcontractors and take a firm approach to defects. The post also requires constructive, outcome-oriented communication with clients, grid operators and authorities, especially where technical decisions and delivery progress depend on several parties.

Responsibilities

• Take overall technical responsibility for complex Commercial New Energy EPC projects, from the initial site inspection through successful grid feed-in.
• Oversee projects involving photovoltaic rooftop installations, battery storage, charging infrastructure and energy management.
• Conduct construction supervision on site and provide technical coordination and direction to subcontractors.
• Maintain compliance with technical and safety-relevant standards and accept the completed work delivered for the project.
• Develop technical concepts with planning and engineering teams, then accompany their implementation through delivery.
• Work with planning detail such as roof layouts, string planning, low-voltage main distribution, transformers and medium-voltage stations.
• Manage technical stakeholders in a results-oriented manner, including clients, grid operators and public authorities.

Qualifications

• Completed degree in renewable energy, electrical engineering, civil engineering or a comparable technical qualification.
• At least five years of relevant professional experience in the technical delivery of Commercial & Industrial EPC projects.
• Sound knowledge of photovoltaic rooftop systems.
• Confident use of execution drawings, string drawings and AC/DC switching diagrams, including review for technical plausibility.
• Ability to identify assembly and execution defects on site, raise them precisely and pursue corrective action consistently.
• A residence in Stuttgart or the surrounding area to support the regional travel required for the work.
