Overview

In this role you will help SAP explore and scale quantum technologies for enterprise simulations. You join a high-caliber team within the Office of the CTO to shape SAP’s quantum strategy, align LOB apps with quantum capabilities, and drive prototypes from research to production. You’ll coordinate cross-LOB efforts, engage senior architects, and translate cutting-edge quantum research into concrete enterprise requirements. This position offers impact across SAP’s technology and cloud architecture while representing SAP’s quantum ambitions at events.

Verantwortungsbereiche

Plan and drive SAP's strategic quantum computing efforts for simulation use cases
Serve as primary liaison between Office of the CTO and LOB application units
Engage architects across LOBs to define business impact and benefits
Translate quantum research into enterprise requirements and architectural guidance
Contribute to SAP’s technology and cloud architecture strategy for Quantum Computing
Develop prototypes and proofs-of-concepts for high-impact simulations
Own strategic quantum simulation initiatives from concept to measurement of success
Represent SAP's quantum efforts at internal and external events

Zentrale Anforderungen

5+ years in technology research or advanced development
Deep expertise in Quantum Computing with focus on Quantum Simulation algorithms
Experience translating complex concepts to business value for executives
Proven ability to manage topics across a global stakeholder network
Knowledge of SAP’s enterprise application portfolio (beneficial)
Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
English communication and presentation skills; native German preferred
