Job Description

The Service Sales Account Manager is accountable for driving growth and profitability in Service Sales with assigned and new accounts, towards defined short‑ and long‑term targets, securing Vertiv as the account’s preferred partner during the entire product lifecycle period. Working together with the account managers, this person will manage the relationship with assigned accounts in a long‑term perspective, owning the service account plan/review process and representing the company in front of the account’s stakeholders. He/she is responsible for implementing Service Sales strategy, aligned to overall Vertiv strategy, and working with peers, local service organisations, and other internal functions, to exceed customer expectations. The role should be located in Germany (preferred in the area of Frankfurt).

What You Will Be Doing

  • Responsibility for Service Sales targets for the assigned accounts
  • Manage the longer‑term building and maintenance of relationships with his/her accounts and the resulting customer satisfaction
  • Anticipate commercial and technical needs, investigate underlying causes and identify short‑ and longer‑term solutions
  • Create and follow up service account plans and service activity plans; create and lead service business development plans over the short to medium term
  • Manage the sales of all service pillars working with Strategic Account Managers
  • Work with the Sales Account Manager in charge of the account to provide a “one face to the customer” interface
  • Contribute to the monitoring of the market, identify new business opportunities and propose and drive Service Action Plans
  • Ensure that any activity, task and responsibility required by the Company Code of Conduct and Trade Compliance is managed and performed in full compliance

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, technical or IT
  • Minimum 5 years proven track record in management of Service Sales
  • Excellent business negotiation skills and relationship building
  • Highly developed communication skills
  • Market competitor knowledge is a plus
  • Account management, selling, influencing, negotiating and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to work proactively under own initiative, as well as in a team environment
  • Self‑starter mentality with ability to plan, organize and manage time effectively

Working Conditions

  • Regular travel required (50%)
  • Travel occasionally requiring overnight stays
