Software Engineering Team Lead

In this role, you will lead the Impact Insights engineering team in Frankfurt to transform observability into actionable intelligence for Bloomberg’s real-time data platform. You define the technical roadmap for impact attribution and guide cross-functional collaboration across product, infra, and support. You shape end-to-end observability and incident-resolution workflows, emphasizing explainability and automation. You will foster a collaborative, growth-oriented culture with strong engineering practices and shared ownership.

• Build and lead a new engineering team in Frankfurt focused on real-time data observability and incident enrichment
• Define the technical roadmap for impact attribution in a complex, distributed system
• Collaborate with product, infra, and support teams to create end-to-end observability views

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• 2+ years in a leadership or mentorship role
• Proficiency in C++ and Python
• Strong listening, communication, and influence skills
• Experience building and operating distributed systems at scale
