Staff Firmware Developer

In this role you will design, implement, and review production-grade firmware for Arm’s automotive compute subsystems. You collaborate with technical leads to deliver robust low-level software across firmware, drivers, and system components. You will optimize CPU/GPU/I/O/memory usage and mentor peers, shaping the stack at the hardware-software frontier. This position offers hands-on impact in a cutting-edge, AI-driven vehicle platform.

• Design, implement, debug and integrate firmware and low-level software with a focus on production-grade quality
• Build core firmware and device drivers for automotive compute subsystems
• Write, review and maintain C/assembly/Yocto code across firmware layers
• Analyze and optimize CPU, GPU, I/O, and memory usage in system components
• Plan and prioritize work packages with project management and tech leadership
• Mentor engineers and uphold code quality and maintainability standards

• 8+ years of hands-on firmware and device driver experience
• Recent, regular coding experience at OS kernel or bare-metal level
• Strong C and Assembly, with deep low-level compute expertise
• Experience designing complex systems and contributing core features or drivers
• Knowledge of Arm architectures; Arm Trusted Firmware is highly preferred
• Excellent written and spoken English, with ability to write documentation and influence cross-functionally
