Overview

Join Leibinger’s R&D team as a System Engineer responsible for enhancing product portfolios. You will own system-level performance, reliability, and compliance across series products, shaping requirements and architecture for improvements and lifecycle upgrades. You’ll lead ECM activities and drive cross-functional alignment to deliver robust, manufacturable solutions while optimizing quality and cost. Verantwortungsbereiche
  • Take system-level ownership of existing series products ensuring performance, reliability, and compliance
  • Define and maintain system requirements and architecture for enhancements and lifecycle improvements
  • Lead and support engineering changes (ECM) across mechanics, electronics, software, and fluids
  • Drive root cause analysis and resolve field issues, quality deviations, and performance gaps
  • Identify and implement product improvements including quality, cost optimization, and obsolescence management
  • Ensure technical alignment across R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and After-Sales during changes
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of system design, robustness, and manufacturability
  • Apply systems engineering methods and maintain proper documentation and traceability
Zentrale Anforderungen
  • Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent; Systems Engineering background is a plus
  • 5+ years in industrial product development, ideally with series life responsibility
  • Proven experience with multidisciplinary systems (mechanics, electronics, software, fluids)
  • Strong understanding of PLM, product lifecycle management, change processes, and continuous improvement
  • Solid systems engineering skills: requirements management, architecture, interfaces, risk analysis, validation
  • Understanding of manufacturing constraints, cost drivers, and industrialization processes
  • Experience with tools such as PLM, CAD, simulation, and requirements management tools
  • Knowledge and application of AI tools is an asset
  • Structured, analytical, hands-on mindset with ownership of product performance
  • Excellent communication and coordination across functions
  • Fluency in English; Tuttlingen-based with travel
