Systems Engineer for Space Debris

As a System Engineer, you will support ESA Space Debris activities through the full lifecycle, from requirements to deployment. You will work in the Space Debris Office context to help manage technical aspects of debris missions and ensure alignment with ECSS standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to address debris-related challenges and contribute to space safety programs. This role offers international exposure, mobility options, and a path to specialized expertise in space debris engineering.

• Support technical management of ESA system activities for Space Debris across lifecycle (requirements, integration, validation, deployment)
• Apply ECSS project management standards to debris-related projects
• Leverage knowledge of Space Safety Program and debris technologies in project work
• Engage with cross-functional teams and ESA stakeholders to coordinate efforts
• Occasional travel within the EU to support project needs
• Contribute to Clean Space technology initiatives and related activities
• Provide input for technical decisions and documentation throughout project phases
