Team Lead Systems Automation

In this role you guide and deliver scalable automation initiatives across internal tools, partnering with stakeholders to improve operational efficiency. You lead a technical team while contributing hands-on coding to build reliable systems. You’ll work across Customer Experience, Operations and Customer Success to streamline workflows via low-code and custom development. The role blends strategic planning with hands-on engineering, focusing on automation, AI enhancements, and secure, maintainable architecture. • Coordinate and lead day-to-day work of the technical team to deliver internal tools and automation solutions
• Contribute hands-on while supporting team members in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable applications and automations
• Maintain system integrations and workflows across platforms (e.g., Zendesk, Jira, WorkBench, People Assignment Manager) for smooth data flow
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate process needs into practical automation using low-code or custom development
• Drive AI & automation innovations by identifying workflow improvements and AI-based enhancements like ticket summarization
• Promote technical standards and documentation for maintainability, security, and knowledge sharing
• Participate in technical planning and architecture discussions, including build vs buy decisions
• Monitor performance of applications and automations, addressing issues with data-driven improvements
• Collaborate with IT, Procurement, and Security for vendor tools and compliance

• 5+ years in software development, systems engineering, or automation engineering
• 3+ years of leadership or team coordination experience
• Strong proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (Python, JavaScript, Go)
• Experience with API development, integrations, or workflow automation
• Ability to design and maintain scalable, reliable systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and independent work capability
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud or Azure)
