Technical Buyer (m/f/d)

In this role you will source direct materials and services aligned with production forecasts, while collaborating with Engineering, Production, Testing and Quality to ensure clear technical alignment. You’ll manage RFQs, requisitions and purchase orders, and shape sourcing strategies with a focus on supplier performance and timely delivery. You will negotiate favorable terms, monitor schedules, and drive continuous improvement with internal stakeholders. • Source direct materials and services based on production needs and forecasts
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Testing and Quality to align on technical specs and requirements
• Process requests for quotes, requisitions, and purchase orders in a timely manner
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies and manage supplier relationships
• Negotiate terms with suppliers to balance technical and commercial outcomes
• Monitor delivery schedules and PO due dates to ensure on-time material receipt
• Assess supplier performance and delivery risks; drive continuous improvement
• Provide excellent service to internal stakeholders (production, planning, quality)
• Coordinate with carriers, brokers, and freight forwarders to support logistics

• Extensive technical knowledge in turned and machined parts or similar areas
• Minimum 3 years purchasing machined components and mechanical assemblies in aerospace, automotive, or related industries
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings
• Strong understanding of construction materials such as composites, alloys, and machined parts
• Ability to plan and meet project deadlines
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills
• Professional proficiency in German and English
