Technical Lead m/w/d

We're partnering with a growing German technology consultancy delivering large-scale digital transformation projects across the finance, insurance, mobility and public sectors.

As a Technical Lead, you'll remain hands‑on while leading engineering teams delivering enterprise‑grade software for some of Germany's most recognisable organisations. You'll be responsible for technical direction, architecture, mentoring developers, and ensuring projects are delivered to a high engineering standard.

You'll work directly with customers, influence technical strategy, and play a key role in shaping both delivery and engineering excellence across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead cross‑functional software engineering teams on complex client projects
• Design scalable, cloud‑native architectures using Java and Angular
• Act as the technical authority throughout the software development lifecycle
• Mentor and coach developers through code reviews, pair programming and technical guidance
• Collaborate closely with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Drive engineering best practices including CI/CD, testing, clean architecture and DevOps principles
• Support pre‑sales activities, technical workshops and solution design where required
• Stay hands‑on with development while balancing leadership responsibilities

Skills & Experience

• Extensive commercial experience developing enterprise applications with Java and Spring Boot
• Strong frontend experience with Angular
• Previous experience leading development teams or acting as Technical Lead
• Strong understanding of software architecture, microservices and distributed systems
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker and modern cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Knowledge of event‑driven architectures, REST APIs and CI/CD pipelines
• Comfortable working directly with enterprise customers and senior stakeholders
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments
• C1 German and strong English communication skills are essential
